–Stuttgarter Nachrichten

Heart

Dancer: Armando Braswell

Photographer: Joachim Riederer

Programmer: Dr. Permi Jhooti

Music: Philip Kannicht

Premiere: 2013 Club Zollamt Stuttgart.

Description: Heart is an interactive video and sound installation by Armando Braswell, Joachim Riederer, Philip Kannicht and Dr. Permi Jhooti. For HEART to function, one viewer must offer thier own. Exposure of the often hidden relationship between viewer and performer reminds us that, as in life, we are affecting the experience of those around us, however we choose to engage or disengage. Passivity is not an option.

Housed

Year: 2013
Dancers: 2
Music: Rej Deproc, Kenny Dope
Premiere: Dance and Music Gala – Theaterhaus Stuttgart
Description: [Haust] verb – A slang word, used in Brooklyn, which means to take something in an aggressive and obvious way. Housed is normally used when something has been stolen. (e.g. ” Help! That guy just housed my jacket! Catch him!”) When art is your job, sometimes the lines between being an artist and making money, get blurred. Even when you are on stage, it is hard to keep the “commercials” out of your head. Housed is a funky duet, with great music.
