Receiving the Panathlon Institution Prize 2025 was one of the greatest honors in the history of the Braswell Arts Center.
Presented by the Panathlon Club beider Basel, the award recognizes organizations that make an outstanding contribution to sport, education, and the community. Since opening the Braswell Arts Center in 2017, our goal has never simply been to teach dance. We set out to create a welcoming place where people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels could discover movement, build confidence, and experience the power of community through the arts.
This recognition belongs to every student, teacher, family member, volunteer, and supporter who has helped shape our community over the past eight years. It is also a reminder that dance is about much more than performance… it is about connection, education, wellbeing, and creating spaces where people feel they belong.
I am deeply grateful to the Panathlon Club beider Basel for this recognition and proud that the Braswell Arts Center continues to contribute to Basel’s vibrant cultural and sporting landscape.
