From Brooklyn to Basel: A Cultural Exchange Project

I am excited to share about my latest project, “From Brooklyn to Basel.” This initiative, hosted by the Braswell Arts Center, is more than just a cultural exchange; it represents a vision to create lasting impact and foster opportunities for children from diverse backgrounds. Through travel and the arts, we aim to break geographical barriers and provide transformative experiences, mentorship, and cultural immersion for young individuals. Together with my first dance teacher, Marcella Jones, we brought 15 students from PATHS High School in Brooklyn to Basel, Switzerland. It was inspiring for these kids to see someone from their neighborhood make a life for himself in Europe.
