Premiere of "Mary" at LaGuardia High School

There's nothing quite like the feeling of coming home, especially when home is Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, an institution synonymous with creativity, passion, and artistic excellence. As an alumnus of this esteemed establishment, I am thrilled and humbled to announce the premiere of my latest work called, "Mary." This production is set to grace the stage over three spectacular nights, June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Secure your seats to by purchasing tickets through this link: Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School Tickets. Don't miss out on being one of the first to see it!

The journey of creating "Mary" has been a soulful collaboration with Rehearsal Director Roderick R. George at my side. His passion, dedication, and creative approach have truly brought "Mary" to life, enabling us to deliver a performance that promises to be unforgettable.

The heart of "Mary" is the captivating music composed by Zen Jefferson. He creates an immersive auditory experience that intertwines seamlessly with the narrative of "Mary."

Returning to LaGuardia High School with "Mary" is an experience that's incredibly special to me. It's here where my artistic journey began, where I first dared to dream, and where those dreams were nurtured. Coming back as an adult, I carry with me a profound sense of gratitude, pride, and excitement to share this piece of my heart with the school that has given me so much.

"Mary" is more than just another piece; it's a testament to the power of dreams, dedication, and the impact that institutions like LaGuardia High School can have on shaping the artists of tomorrow.

Mark your calendars, book your tickets, and join us in this remarkable journey as we celebrate the magic of the performing arts at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School on June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Stay connected for more updates and behind-the-scenes sneak peeks...like these photos by Loni Landon. Until then, we're eagerly preparing to showcase "Mary" to the world. We look forward to sharing this special moment with you.

With a lineup of performances by talented choreographers at various stages of their careers, this festival brings together a rich tapestry of styles, narratives, and interpretations.

Here is a video by current dancer and "Inside Ballet Theater Basel" team member, Rubén Bañol Herrera:

An inside look into the Dancelab 8 production at Theater Basel. Here the dancers are allowed to create and present their own choreographies. The realization of your own choreographic works is an important experience for young artists on the way to creative maturity. The DanceLab takes this circumstance into account and offers dancers of the ensemble the opportunity to experiment with choreography. Abstract movement studies, associative motion pictures or short, moving stories can emerge. To what extent the young choreographers want to break with old viewing habits or refer to traditions or cultural prescriptions in their approximately ten-minute plays is left to them themselves. This creates a kaleidoscope of contemporary creative thought, ranging from first-time works to tried-and-tested further developments to remarkable experiments, offering the audience a surprising and varied dance evening.
