As part of Tanzfest Basel 2026, I had the pleasure of once again leading an open dance class at Kunstmuseum Basel.
One of the things I love most about Tanzfest is its ability to bring dance beyond the traditional studio and theatre. Teaching in one of Switzerland’s most important museums creates an inspiring meeting point between visual art and movement, inviting people of all ages and backgrounds to participate.
The class welcomed both experienced dancers and complete beginners, creating a shared space where movement became a way of connecting with one another. Moments like these remind me why community engagement continues to be such an important part of my artistic practice.
